SARAPE Annual Processing Agent
Roles and Responsibilities Agreement

SARAPE Processing Agent must review annually and acknowledge understanding his/her role and responsibilities as a processing agent.

SARAPE Processing Agent must notify SARAPE-help@sandia.gov prior to terminating SARAPE responsibilities. The SARAPE Processing Agent should identify and train a replacement to avoid any delays in processing SARAPE requests in case they are unable to fulfill their duties as a SARAPE processing Agent.

Guest Processing Agent Role/Responsibilities:
[You are reviewing a request as the Guest Processing Agent (GPA) when the requestor is from your site, requesting access to another site.]

I understand my responsibilities include verifying the accuracy of the following information provided by the requester at my site, against my site’s authoritative source[1]:

  1. Name
  2. Phone number
  3. Email address (only accepts official site-provided email address)
  4. Cross realm name (where applicable)
  5. Citizenship

I understand that each time I approve a request as the GPA I am agreeing that I have verified all the information contained in the request.

I understand that each time I deny a request as the GPA, SARAPE will send any comments I include to the requestor, and that the request may need to be edited, denied, or cancelled.

Host Processing Agent Role/Responsibilities:
[You are reviewing a request as the Host Processing Agents (HPA) when the requestor is from another site, requesting access to your site.]

I understand my responsibilities include verifying the completeness of the request:

  1. Cross realm name when required.
  2. Appropriate justification for the requested resource or application
  3. The person is a visitor/colleague and not an employee of the host site.

I understand that each time I approve a request as the HPA, I will subsequently process the request internally according to local requirements. If the requestor is a non-US citizen, additional processing is required.

I understand that each time I deny a request as the HPA, the request will be returned to the originating GPA to be corrected, denied, or cancelled.

Inquiries about requests, or issues with accounts should be directed to: sarape-help@sandia.gov.
